This announcement has just been released to the engineering team regarding Hurricane Bill as it approaches Massachusetts.
"There is a small possibility of New England being impacted by the major Hurricane Bill over the next 80 hours. A reminder to all employees that we are designated as essential personnel and are expected to respond as needed in an emergency. Therefore, all staff will be expected to report for duty regardless of pre-arranged vacation.
Also, if you are personally impacted by the storm please remember to check in with 1-866-YESOKAY so we can make sure that everyone is all right.
Further information will be passed on to you as the storm approaches. Please keep an eye on the progress of this storm and take the necessary precautions to protect yourselves, your family, and our network."
If ever, this will be my first hurricane in my five years here in Massachusetts. So is this a common thing in New England? Has the whole global warming thing have something to do with this?
Thank God Hurricane Bill changed its direction. Massachusetts is safe.
ReplyDeletePresident Obama will be in Martha's Vineyard with his family on vacation in the next few weeks.. It's a good thing the hurricane did not reach the vineyard.
