Watch the NY Giants go at it against the SF 49ers in their home stadium, The Candlestick Park Stadium (The Stick), this coming Sunday, January 22, 2012 at 3:30PM (West Coast Time).
49ers fans are hyped for this game and expect a large crowd of them at The Stick. Things like this don't come around often. I'm personally, not a big sports follower but having heard and seen how good this team is, I'm having our DVR record this game. By the way, I'm more a Patriots fan than anything else (so I'm also recording their game this weekend). So, good luck to both teams. I'm sure whichever team wins this weekend, Super Bowl XLVI will be another exciting game to watch.
The Stick, was built in the late 50's and has hosted countless MLB and NHL games. So, it's a fairly old and small stadium. Apparently, there are plans of tearing down this stadium and a new, larger and better stadium will be built in its place.
I went to visit it a few days ago and took these panoramic snapshots using my iPhone 4 and an app called Photosynth by Microsoft. I have a bunch of apps that can do panoramic shots but I prefer using Photosynth because of the seamlessness of the photo stitches.
